HostBooking in October 2026: what’s new
HostBooking · · 4 min read
This month HostBooking adds tools for the day-to-day: calendar sync with OTAs, a Today board for the front desk, housekeeping tasks made for you, CCCD scanning for stay declarations, monthly expenses and profit and loss, extras on the bill, and importing old bookings from Excel.
Calendar sync with Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda
Every room type has an .ics link to paste into the OTAs, and you paste the OTAs’ links into HostBooking. Every 15 minutes their bookings come in as blocked dates, and overbooked nights are flagged. See OTA calendar sync.
Today and housekeeping
The Today board shows every room: who is in, who is arriving, clean or dirty. Checking a guest out creates the cleaning task with its checklist; prepare-before-arrival tasks can be made automatically, and a wall board for staff opens without a sign-in. See Housekeeping.
Stay declarations: scan the CCCD
On a booking, scan the QR on a chip CCCD with the camera or a handheld scanner to fill in the guest’s details. Document numbers are encrypted and only the last four show, and the stay list downloads as Excel for any dates. HostBooking does not send it to the police portal yet.
Expenses, profit and loss, extras
- Record costs by category; recurring ones such as rent and wages write themselves.
- A yearly P&L: room revenue plus extras, less refunds and costs, month by month.
- Add breakfast, a motorbike or a BBQ to a booking; it is paid with the room and printed on the receipt.
- Staff without refund rights ask for a refund; someone with them approves it.
Moving over from Excel
Bookings kept in Excel, Google Sheets or Google Calendar import straight in: columns recognised by their headings, every row previewed, the whole batch undoable. See Import.
Frequently asked questions
Do these cost extra?
There is no separate charge for these features; they are part of the existing plans. A few things, like your own domain or payment gateways, need Basic or above.
