A Lodgify alternative for homestays and villas in Vietnam
HostBooking · · 7 min read
Lodgify is vacation rental software known for its booking websites in 32 languages and API connections to Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com, priced in US dollars by number of properties. HostBooking is built for homestays in Vietnam: a free plan, VietQR deposits, hourly stays, guest registration export and Zalo, with OTA sync through iCal and booking emails.
Where the numbers come from
HostBooking wrote this page. Lodgify details come from the Lodgify pricing page, checked November 2026. Its prices change with the number of properties and the billing period and are shown discounted, so treat the figures below as a reference. HostBooking figures come from our pricing page.
Who each one suits
- Lodgify suits villa and apartment hosts selling to international guests who want a multilingual booking site, card payments through Stripe or PayPal, rate and calendar sync with Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com, and a listing on Google Vacation Rentals.
- HostBooking suits small homestays, villas and serviced apartments in Vietnam whose guests are mostly Vietnamese: deposits by bank transfer, messages on Zalo, rooms sold by the hour, and a guest list for the police.

Where Lodgify is clearly better
- API connections to Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com. The pricing page says calendars, rates and content sync. HostBooking only syncs booked dates over iCal; rates are edited on each OTA.
- Websites for international guests: 32 languages, templates, and Google Vacation Rentals from Professional.
- Dynamic pricing, owner statements and task management on higher plans, useful for managers running homes for other owners.
Where HostBooking fits better
- Low, flat cost in dong. Basic is 99,000 VND/month regardless of room count; the free plan covers properties under 50 bookings a month. See pricing.
- VietQR deposits with no gateway fee, paid straight to your account. See VietQR payments.
- Hourly and overnight stays on one calendar. See hourly rentals.
- Guest registration from chip ID card QR codes. See stay declaration.
- Zalo for guests and staff. See Zalo notifications.
- A booking website on the free plan, custom domain included. See booking website.
What HostBooking lacks
No OTA API and no rate push. OTA sync uses iCal and confirmation emails from Booking.com, Agoda, Airbnb, Traveloka, Trip.com and Expedia; it starts on Basic or costs 59,000 VND/month as an add-on. The website is Vietnamese and English only. Guest registration is not submitted to the portal for you. A villa selling mainly to European and American guests on Airbnb and Vrbo will be better served by Lodgify.
Questions to answer before you choose
- What languages do your guests read? Vietnamese and English only, HostBooking’s site is enough; many languages, Lodgify wins.
- Do you need rate sync with Airbnb and Vrbo, or only to stop double bookings?
- Add up a full year: plan price by property count, plus 1% on online guest payments.
- Do you have hourly rooms or Vietnamese guests who expect bank-transfer deposits and Zalo?
- Who will update the website and photos, and in which language?
Switching to HostBooking
- Sign up and create your property and room types.
- Export upcoming bookings to Excel or CSV and import them under Bookings › Import from file. See importing bookings.
- Link iCal with each OTA and forward OTA booking emails.
- Point your own domain at the website, run both for a week, then switch.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Lodgify cost?
The Lodgify pricing page (November 2026) shows Starter $26, Professional $47 and Ultimate $68 per month, discounted and varying with property count and billing period, taxes extra. Check the Lodgify pricing page with your number of properties.
Does Lodgify take a commission?
The pricing page says there is no booking fee on any plan, but 1% applies to guest payments made online through a gateway such as Stripe or PayPal, on top of the gateway’s own fee. HostBooking takes no commission, and VietQR deposits skip the gateway.
Is HostBooking’s website multilingual like Lodgify?
No. HostBooking sites are in Vietnamese and English. If you need German, French or Korean for guests, Lodgify offers more languages.
Can I use Lodgify for Airbnb and HostBooking for local guests?
Yes, through iCal, which both support. A booking on one side blocks the dates on the other.
